Read it carefully before ordering wallpaper

Our unique, vintage, modern, and top-quality wallpaper murals are sold in panels sized 24''W and fit most walls, but if our standard dimensions are not enough to fill your space please send us a message and we will be more than glad to send you a custom quote.

1) Removable Peel and Stick Wallpaper Vinyl: high-quality, eco-friendly peel-and-stick wallpaper vinyl available in Smooth Vinyl (flat semi-gloss finish) and Canvas luxury textured vinyl (matte textured finish). It is easy to install and remove. For long or short-term installations. No glue or paste needed for installation. Can be used by non-professionals. For Smooth Surfaces ONLY!

2) Traditional Wallpaper with Canvas texture: preferred by professionals, high-quality, eco-friendly wallpaper material with canvas luxury finish. Installed using wallpaper glue/paste for non woven wallpapers. Can be applied to slightly textured walls.

Measure your space based on overall wall width and height

Before you head out to pick up your wallpaper, determine which wall (or walls) you’ll be hanging it on.

Calculate how many panels of wallpaper you’ll need for each wall based on its overall width and height. To do so, divide overall width of the wall by 24 inches to arrive at total number of panels needed per wall. So a 144 by 24 inches width wall would require 6 panels. If you have a fractional number of panels, round it up to the highest number. The height comes in standard dimensions: 50 inches, 75 inches, 100 inches and 125 inches.

Use our Example below to calculate how many panels you’ll need based on the wall overall width and height:

Example 1:

Your wall is 144 inches wide and 96 inches high, the wallpaper panel is 24 inches wide, and the nearest standard height size is 100 inches:

144 divided by 24 = 6

You will need 6 panels sized 24''W x 100''H to cover your wall 

Example 2:

Your wall is 152 inches wide, the wallpaper panel is 24 inches wide:

152 divided by 24 = 6.33

When you get a fraction as a result you will need round up to 7 panels to complete your project. 

Overlap between panels

All our wallpaper panels have 1 inches overlap. Overlap area is mandatory to ensure the seamless alignment between every panel. While calculating how many panels you will need please do not consider the overlap since it will be covered by the consecutive panel.

How to work around windows, doors or odd shaped walls

If your wall is odd shaped, or it has a window or door in it, we highly recommend to treat it as part of the wall and still order the amount of panels as if there were no doors, windows or any irregular shapes. This is the safest way to assure you have enough material to cover the entire wall, as well as ensure the design pattern will still be perfectly matching and there will be no room for an error during installation. 

You will trim off extra material around doors or windows, after panels are installed.

Preparing Walls for Peel and Stick Wallpaper

Sticky substances like wallpaper don’t adhere well to rough, dirty or stained walls. Before applying removable wallpaper, it’s important that you first prepare your wall surface. Make sure it is smooth by sanding down any rough patches with fine-grit sandpaper (you can also use an electric sander). Then wash down your walls with warm water and soap or detergent; make sure they are dry before moving on.

Clean the Walls

For the best adhesion, wall must be cleaned of all lint, oils, and other debris prior to application. Cleaned wall must be allowed to dry for 24H prior to application. To clean the wall: scrub with a general, all purpose cleaner, wash with water, wash with isopropyl alcohol (70%), before a final scrub with a microfiber, lint-free cloth. Make sure any all-purpose cleaner is properly washed off of the wall.

Remove Existing Wallpaper

Start by removing any existing wallpaper. If you don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself, find a local handyman or interior designer to help. For best results, scrape off adhesive wallpaper with a single-edged razor blade (purchased at hardware stores). Be patient; take your time; get every last piece of residue off your walls before proceeding. 

Never apply peel and stick wallpaper on top of existing wallpaper or any other wall decor stickers.

What Kind of Surface is Best?

The first thing you’ll need to do is figure out what kind of surface you’ll be applying peel-and-stick wallpaper onto. Your options are pretty flexible, but there are things you should keep in mind. For instance, if your walls are freshly painted or their texture will interfere with smooth application, it might be best to wait until they dry before attempting installation, or remove the texture by sanding it down. 

If your wall has slight texture:

If your wall is slightly textured please use Traditional Wallpaper, which is applied using glue or paste. DO NOT use removable peel and stick wallpaper if your surface is not smooth to touch.

Please DO NOT do the following:

• Do not use our removable peel and stick wallpaper with any type of textured walls, uncured walls or damaged walls. 
• Do not order couple of large panels (ex. two panels sized 24"W x 120"H), and try to chop them in 2 or 3 more panels. In this scenario design repeat will not match, and will not seamlessly align.
